AeroGeo is a 100% Canadian owned and operated, inter-provincially registered company incorporated in 1975. Our corporate office is located in downtown Vancouver at #209 - 837 W. Hastings Street, just south of Canada Place in the Terminal City Club Tower. We conduct aerial and ground surveys, digital mapping, orthophoto production, volumetric calculations, and other related services. Our firm serves all levels of government, engineering, forestry, mining, and environmental consulting companies.

Management Team — Since 1975: Experience you can trust

Tim Daly, President & CEO

Tim's remote sensing career began over 35 years ago with classes at Mount Royal College (Aviation Program) in Calgary. He started working for Mach-Air Aerial Surveys in 1970, where he gained experience in all aspects of flying, camera operation, Lab processing, etc. Tim later worked for McDonald-Detweiller Associates as the assistant project leader on the Japanese Space Station project, before honing his skills with several other aerial survey and mapping companies. His career with Aero Geometrics Ltd. began in 1977, where he held senior positions in the company until his appointment as President and CEO in 1999. Under his leadership, the company has significantly expanded its range of services and the number and diversity of its clients. Revenues have increased more than 600% and Aerogeo has now expanded to two locations and is finalizing plans for future acquisitions of technology and expertise.

Tim Sommerfeld, CFO and Director of Business Development

Tim has been continuously employed by Aero Geometrics Ltd since 1988 and has taken an active role in all aspects of the business. He acquired his post secondary education in BC and Saskatchewan and has degrees in Education and Physical Geography. The energy, expertise and experience Tim applies to all projects ensures customers the completeness and accuracy of geospatial deliverables which they expect from AeroGeo. Tim is also directly responsible for the continual integration of new and innovative technology, software development, marketing and the forging of new business opportunities and alliances.

John Rankin, Production Manager: Photogrammetric Services

John's dependence upon accurate information while in the Canadian military sparked his interest in maps and photogrammetry. John holds a degree in physical geography from the University of Calgary as well as a technical diploma in photogrammetry and surveying from SAIT (The Southern Alberta Institute of Technology). His involvement in the Geomatics industry has spanned more than 15 years and he has worked on a large variety of projects for many disciplines such as oilfields, volumes for open pit mines and piles, corridors for utilities and pipelines and hydroelectric planning, watershed analysis, and forestry. John is highly experienced with project planning, aerial triangulation, data collection and data post processing. John's commitment to accuracy and quality coupled with his attention to detail has enabled him to successfully complete all projects regardless of mapping scale, size or complexity. John joined the Aerogeo team in 2005 and has become an integral component of the company's continued growth and success.
